[Gearloose Pirates tweaks]

Its really cool, although imo I kinda liked the way gearloose looked before...

but it's up to you how you want him to look.

It's understandable, I do feel like I nailed something in his initial concept, but I felt like I could exaggerate him more. I wanted to give him a more sinister and rusty/used look rather than the slicker design he had before (hence the divided smile so he can actually open his mouth and look more evil and the peg leg). I also felt like I should make him more massive/armored and that the old outfit obscured his body too much, to show off that he is a more advanced combat unit (which does relate to his deeper lore).

Personally though, what I would have done is take the large cogs and make the other cogs the same size, laying them out in a pattern.

Then i'd make each gear a different bright colour.

Finally, id leave one colour only for the background...

Basically im imagining your designs into pattern ideas...

But I feel like it would have been slightly cooler with more colours as there are a few reds going on...

True, I don't know, I just make my art somewhat semetrical (I don't know how it's spelled) and the same colors

Not bad... I like that its colourful, although the overlapping colours kinda ruin it a little bit as it is a little bit too busy and blends in too dark in certain points, still cool though...

Id improve it by not going overboard with the overlapping and just keep some the colourful starbursts like a sort of wallpaper thing...
